traditional British term to describe anything that is custom tailored to the
client. In other words, "The customer has spoken."

The Bespoke Experience is a "custom
tailored,"
"one on one," "get exactly what you want,"
and "it's all about you" experience!
Let's create the scent that defines your style.
There are 3 ways
to do the custom fragrance experience!
Choose from the In-Studio 300 the In-Studio
Boutique 20 or the Virtual Boutique 20.
The In-Studio
Tailored 300
The tailored 300 gives you access to more than 300
essential oils and fragrance oils. Think of it as having a suit tailor made for
you. You choose the fabric, the style, the cut and the colors. We build
your fragrance from the ground up.
How it works
Schedule an appointment with me to meet in my perfume studio on the south side
of La Crosse. When you are here, we will explore your fragrance
personality. We will work with a curated collection of 300 of the finest fragrance and essential oils to create
your own eau de parfum!
You will explore single note
essential oils and fragrance oils. Examples of single notes are
cedarwood essential oil, lily of the valley fragrance oil, lemon essential oil,
amber essential oil and musk fragrance oil. There are hundreds to choose
from! This process takes an hour or more.
The next step is to put together the various fragrance
oils and essential oils in proportions to bring out the best of each note. That
will result in a tiny testing batch. I will
then divide this first batch into 3 small bottles. We can experiment by adding
oils to two of these so as to emphasize one of the notes or maybe to add a note
that didn't go into the first batch. This process can be done while you wait or
you can come back the next day to sample the various batches. This process can
take another hour or so.
When it's time to sample the
results, I will have come up with at least 3 versions, but possibly
more. Adjustments to the fragrance can be made as we settle on the best formula
for your personal eau de parfum.
Then I will make up a bottle of your fragrance to take
home. In the meantime, you will be busy coming up with a name for
your signature scent! Of course,
your scent can be named after you. But we can also play with that. For example,
"Robert's Charisma," "Susan's Passion."
What it costs
The one on one fragrance design consultation costs
only $85 and includes a 1/3 oz (10ml) bottle of your signature fragrance. Perfumers
in New York, California and Paris charge as much as $1000, and that doesn't include
plane fare!

The In-Studio
Boutique 20
The Boutique
20 is a faster and easier way to design your personal
scent. For the Boutique 20 experience I have composed 20 elegant
fragrances. Each is designed to be mixed and matched and layered
with the others to create a complex eau de parfum that is uniquely yours.
For example, you might like my "Fresh Green & Hyacinth" with its
top notes of lemon, celery and green tea. This fragrance will combine well with
other base note fragrances such as my "Cashmere Wood & Sweet
Tobacco." It also blends well with spicy fragrances for men. You
might choose to add a third fragrance such as a floral or musk. From 20
fragrances there are 1140 different combinations. You can create your own unique
fragrance.
This method of designing a fragrance lends itself to a
shared experience with your spouse or a couple of friends. At this time I
can accommodate up to 4 people in person.
The fun thing about the Boutique 20 is that you get 3
fragrances. Any one of them can be worn alone. They can be applied together on
your skin. Or you can go crazy and wear different ones on each wrist!
What it costs
The Boutique 20 experience costs $60 and includes 3
fragrances.
The Virtual
Boutique 20
If you don't live in the La Crosse area and
want to do the bespoke perfume experience from the comfort of your own home, we
can do it virtually! We can do this via Zoom or FaceBook video chat. You can do
it alone or invite your friends and have a virtual party online. To get

What it costs
The Virtual Boutique 20 kit costs $115 and includes
twenty 1ml bottles of fragrance, video chat, three 10ml fragrances shipped to
you after the chat, instructional materials and scent testing strips.
Additional kits shipped to the same address cost only $85. The $20
difference reflects the cost savings in postage and packaging to ship the kits
to you and then later ship the fragrances to you.
Additional kits shipped to other addresses besides yours will cost $115.
Your friends might want their own kits so they can
take them home and continue to explore the various scents. And they will
want to share this new concept with others.

What exactly goes
on when we design a
signature fragrance?
First of all, bring your cell
phone!
We'll take pictures!
You should also bring some of
your favorite perfumes.
We will explore what you like and what you don't like about
each one.
From there, you will sample
various accords that I have designed. Accords are combinations of
fragrance that make up a single idea or a fragrance family. For example, a crisp
green accord will have green notes and notes of lemon, tea, grass and hyacinth.
You may find that an accord evokes emotions or memories for you! Sampling these
accords will reveal your fragrance personality.
Custom Fragrance
Group Events
I also offer a Custom Fragrance Group Experience for
2 to 4 people. The process is a little less involved than the Bespoke Custom
Tailored Experience. It's a lot of fun as you and your friends try various fragrance accords and
learn about perfumery and how to design a perfume. The fee is only $35 per
person and you will each go home with a 1/3 oz. (10ml) bottle of the custom fragrance that you created.
Larger bottles are available for an additional fee.
Product
Development for Businesses
I design products for businesses that are looking for a signature fragrance to
represent their store or restaurant. We can design ambient scenting for
the premises as well as eau de parfum and room sprays that customers can
take home. The process is a lot like the Bespoke Custom
Tailored Experience. I will work with you and your partners to find just
the right note that creates a memory of your business enterprise. Call me
